Need to report to a public authority?
National Food Safety is independent and is not a local authority or emergency service. For official food-safety reporting, use the appropriate public-authority route:
- Official reporting guidance for England, Wales and Northern Ireland
- Food Standards Scotland contact guidance
Life-threatening emergency? Call 999. Do not use this email route for an emergency.
What to include
- The business name and location or postcode.
- When you noticed the concern, if known.
- A factual description of what you personally observed.
- Relevant product or meal details.
Stay safe: do not confront staff or put yourself at risk. Submitting a concern does not confirm wrongdoing.

You can add relevant images as attachments in your email app. This page does not upload files or send attachments automatically.
